In our second of the "Which Arnold?" Series, we investigate Arnold's signing of the minimum wage law a few weeks ago. Arnold is running this year as a "moderate." He's trying to get the people of California to buy his new persona of reconciliation and bipartisanship. He signs a few Dem bills and plays it up for the media. But when the rubber meets the road, Arnold will not be on the side of the working people of the state of California.
In the second of this series of videos, we take a look at Arnold's record on minimum wage. In 2004, Arnold vetoed a bill to raise the minimum wage by $1. In 2005, he vetoed a bill to raise the minimum wage by $1 which included an automatic escalator to factor for the cost of living. Arnold continues to think that it is okay for the legislators and other government workers of the state to get automatic pay raises, but somehow those who have the least must fight every few years to get a slightly larger piece of the pie.
Arnold's hypocrisy on this issue is even more apparent than on most issues. In 2004 he felt that the increase would be devastating to our economy, and now it's all good. Huh? Can you trust this man?
