Ask Senator Cannella to keep his promise!

PowerPAC.org has joined several organizations and other elected officials in ensuring the will of taxpayers, YOU, be heard in your senate district. Senator Anthony Cannella (SD 12, Ceres) won’t vote to place a tax extension on the ballot? Unfortunately by doing so, he’s denying us two important things:

  1. The right of voters like yourself to vote for sensible taxes that will support necessary programs, and
  2. The right to eliminate regulations that give employers incentives for moving jobs to other states.

Does that seem like fair representation to you?

During his 2010 bid for State Senate, Anthony Cannella promised he would reduce jobs being sent out of state. By opposing Gov. Brown’s proposal, Senator Cannella is breaking his promise. Senate Bill 116 (De Leon), reverses the corporate loophole ensuring that jobs stay in our state! The bill would create $1 billion in revenue to support jobs in California. We can’t allow Senator Cannella to harm our future.

Gov. Brown’s budget proposal is a smart approach to our devastating $26.5 billion deficit. The budget proposes $12.5 billion in revenue that could support police, firefighters, healthcare, education and other important government services. However, if the budget does not pass, the cuts will double, leaving thousands of families in our communities without a safety net.

Ask Senator Cannella to vote for Gov. Brown’s budget proposal. Call him at (915) 651-4012 or sign this PETITION.

Let’s demand better from our Senator Canella, let’s demand a fair budget today.
